Challenge
The website for Escape Fiction Bookstore felt outdated, difficult to navigate, and lacked clear visual hierarchy. Since the website’s primary purpose is to encourage visits to the physical bookstore rather than sell books online, the existing experience did not effectively showcase the store or create a strong connection with potential customers.
Solution
The redesign focused on creating a modern, clearly structured website. I organized the content into a streamlined navigation system with dedicated pages, making information easier to access and improving overall usability. The redesigned homepage features a large hero section with photography of the store, along with direct links to Google Maps, social media platforms, and other key visitor resources.
While the layout follows modern web conventions for clarity and structure, I also included some fun, personal elements to create a more engaging and welcoming experience.
