This branding project challenged the creation of a boutique hotel identity by combining three distinct parameters: location, audience, and theme. Designed for adventure-seeking travelers in Minneapolis with a castle-inspired concept, the identity needed to balance immersive storytelling with a professional hospitality brand while creating a memorable experience that felt distinctive and authentic to its audience.
Solution
I created Havenfort Hotel, an original boutique hotel concept designed to combine adventure and exploration with an enchanting, castle-inspired atmosphere. Research and planning informed the development of a story-driven identity centered around transporting guests into a memorable experience through both visual design and brand positioning. The final logo combines a castle gate icon that also functions as an “H” for Havenfort, paired with a clean word mark and the payoff line “storybook hotel.” A balance of modern and classic design elements, combined with a regal color palette and thoughtful visual hierarchy, creates a brand identity that feels immersive, elevated, and tailored to adventure-focused travelers.
